Last call for the Kiltwalk 2018

There is still time to sign up for #KiltwalkEdinburgh!

The Kiltwalk is an annual charity challenge held in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, and Edinburgh. Kiltwalkers can choose between three distances – the Mighty Stride, The Big Stroll, and The Wee Wander (around 26, 14 and 5 miles at each location).

In 2017, 7000 Kiltwalker’s participated from all over Scotland to raise over £2.3 million, split between over 700 charities.

The KiltWalk is supported by The Hunter Foundation. Like last year, 40% will be added to every walkers fundraising total. So, if you raise £750, The Hunter Foundation will increase this to over £1000 for your chosen charity.

Even if you don’t fancy the trek, you can volunteer at the Kiltwalk and still raise money. For every hour you volunteer as a ‘Kiltie’, you will earn £1.40 for your chosen charity every hour you help out. In 2017, £4000 was donated to over 100 charities this way.

Here at the Scottish Cot Death Trust, over 85% of our income comes directly from public donations and fundraising such as this. These funds are crucial to continue to support those affected by an unexpected death of an infant. Our 2018 Kiltwalkers have raised over £1000 already, and there is still time to register for the Edinburgh walk on 16th September.

So, put the fun into fundraising – why don’t you join #teamSCDT and help hit our Kiltwalk target! Plenty of banter (and blisters!) all for a good cause!
